PK (PK Mode)
On This Page

1. What Is PK?
PK stands for Player Kill, meaning killing other players.
Unlike other forms of PvP, PK lets one side kill and rob the other one-sidedly.

2. PK Mode
Channel 1 of hunting grounds (except inside towns) is an area where PK is allowed.
In these areas, turning on [PK Mode] at the bottom right of the screen surrounds you with a red aura and lets you attack other players.
Players with PK Mode on appear with red names to other players.

Once [PK Mode] is turned on, it cannot be turned off for 1 minute, and you cannot switch channels or leave the game.
If you force-quit the game, you receive an EXP penalty of 1% of your current Level
With PK Mode on, each time you kill another player, your Karma increases by 2
However, if you kill an opponent who also has PK Mode on, your Karma Points do not increase.
Despite these penalties, a successful PK also has its benefits.
After a successful PK, you can loot the opponent's body to take EXP, Skill Points or items.
● How Looting Works
1) When you kill another player with PK Mode on, you get 3 loot attempts within 5 seconds
2) Looting ends immediately after even 1 success, no matter how many attempts remain
3) A successful loot randomly gives you 1 of: EXP, Skill Points, or a tradable item
4) Stealing EXP gives 1% EXP, based on whichever of you and your opponent has the lower value
5) Stolen EXP cannot be protected by a Protection Scroll
6) Equipped items cannot be taken
7) Items in the Item Mall Inventory, Appearance Storage and Pet Inventory cannot be taken (Personal Inventory only)

3. Bounties and Bounty Warrants
A player who was PK'd can put a Bounty on the attacker to register them as a wanted player.
Other players can check the list of wanted players and buy Bounty Warrants from the Soldier NPC in town.
Players with a Bounty Warrant can attack wanted players even without PK Mode on (PK channels only).
Killing a wanted player does not increase your Karma; you receive the Bounty instead.
Wanted players you can attack in self-defense have purple names.

4. Karma Penalties
As Karma builds up from PK, you may receive the following penalties.
| Karma Points | Below 100 | 100 ~ 499 | 500 ~ 999 | 1,000 or more |
| Item destruction chance | None | 3% | 5% | 10% |
| Additional EXP penalty on death | None | 1% | 2% | 3% |
|
Force-quitting while in PK Mode EXP penalty |
1% | 2% | 3% | 5% |
Once PK Mode has been off for 3 hours, Karma then drops by 1 every 3 hours.
Paying bail to a town Soldier lowers Karma by 1 per 100,000 Silver Coins.
Alternatively, you can reduce Karma with a Karma-reducing potion sold in the Item Mall.

5. Blood Storm and PvP Fame
During [Blood Storm], held every day from 9~11 PM, killing an opponent in a PK-enabled channel lets you take their Fame.
The higher your opponent's Fame, the more Fame you can take, and your opponent loses as much Fame as you take.
You can take up to +500 Fame, and lose at most -100 Fame.
Your own PvP Fame is shown as ± next to the Fame Points above your character's head.
Other players' Fame Points are shown with PvP Fame already included.
Your final Fame is the sum of your base Fame and PvP Fame.
Every day at midnight, PvP Fame Points are adjusted to within ±50
During Blood Storm, you receive no Karma penalty even with PK Mode on, and the following rules apply.
● With PK Mode On (Channel 1, PK Allowed)
- Can loot after PK
- Killing the other player does not increase Karma
● With PK Mode Off (All Channels)
- Cannot loot after PK
- Killing the other player does not increase Karma
- The player who was PK'd receives no EXP penalty
