Efficient Monster Hunting Settings

 

 

Because Auto Hunt runs nonstop, small efficiency gains at a hunting spot add up to very different results.

This guide shows you how to maximize your hunting efficiency!

 

 

 

1. I Want to Grow Faster

 

 

1) Hunt the Most Worthwhile Monsters

 

Defeating monsters with a higher Level than your character gives bonus EXP.

However, there's a limit to the Level gap that gives bonus EXP.

 

Once a monster is more than 13 Levels above your character, the bonus EXP rate stays the same from there on.

For efficient growth, we recommend hunting monsters 13 Levels above you.

 

 

2) Make Full Use of EXP-Boosting Items

 

EXP-boosting items come in [EXP Boost, Martial Art EXP Boost, Skill Point Boost], and item types include Talismans I~V, Ornaments, Zongzi, Rice Cakes, etc.

All EXP-boosting items can be used together, and their bonus rates stack additively.

 

Talismans of different grades can be used together, so using every grade of Talisman you have, plus Ornaments, Zongzi, Rice Cakes and so on, gives the best efficiency.
 

 

3) Fight Faster to Kill More Monsters in the Same Time

 

Killing more and stronger monsters, faster, is the foundation of growth.

In the next section, we'll share various tips for faster hunting.

 

 

2. I Want to Hunt Faster

 

 

1) Defeat Monsters in One Hit

 

In Mohun Kronthia, there's a delay after using one martial art before the next, but if you move after using a martial art, there's no delay.

So if you finish a monster with one martial art and immediately move on to the next, you won't lose time between skills, and you'll hunt much faster.

 

Pair it with the [Qinggong Talisman], which lets you use Qinggong instantly, and you'll hunt even faster.

 

Taking down high-Level monsters that give good EXP in a single hit is fairly hard.

The key is to find the best balance by comparing the EXP from one-shotting low-Level monsters with the EXP from hitting high-Level monsters several times.

 

 

2) Make Up for Missing Stats with Buff Items

 

When your Attack falls just short of one-hit kills, you can boost your stats with Buff items.

 

Our top picks are the [STR Talisman], [External Power Talisman] and [Ghost Talisman], which can be bought with Silver Yuanbao.

The [Vermilion Bird Talisman] and [Critical Damage Talisman] also help boost damage.

 

The Accuracy Talisman is an item for PvP.

Attacks on monsters in Mohun Kronthia always hit (100%), so Accuracy has no effect in PvE. Please keep this in mind.
 

 

 

3. So What's the Best Way to Hunt?

 

 

If one-hit kills only work on low-Level monsters, while monsters 13 Levels higher are too strong and take too long to kill, pick the monsters that strike the best balance.

 

After pooling the ideas of many Mohun experts, we concluded that choosing hunting spots by the following criteria is the most efficient.

 

① Don't hit a single monster more than 4 times

② Choose the hunting spot with the most Skill Points per unit of time

③ Hunt the highest-Level monster among those that die in 3 hits

 

Grow fast with the most efficient hunting and rise to greater heights in the Jianghu!

 

 

4. I Also Want to Optimize Auto Hunt

 

Auto Hunt settings are divided into 3 main sections.

We'll walk you through how to configure each section for the best possible hunting.

 

1) Combat Settings, the Heart of Optimization (Left Section)

 

 

① Chase Range

 

Sets how far you chase monsters, centered on your character.

If the range is too wide, you may wander off to the wrong place or get stuck on terrain.

 

Limit the range to 30~50 from the best hunting position.

 

② Basic Coordinates (Important!)

 

You'll only hunt within range of the set coordinates in that area.

With Basic Coordinates set, if you turn on Auto Hunt right after entering the map you want to hunt in,

Your character will first walk to those coordinates and then start hunting.

 

Used well, it keeps you from drifting away from your chosen hunting spot, so set it whenever possible.

 

When you change hunting spots, the map coordinates may be off.

Don't forget to reset your Basic Coordinates every time you change hunting spots.

 

③ Dungeon Coordinates & Hunt Range Support

 

[Dungeon Coordinates & Hunt Range Support] automatically adjusts the Basic Coordinates to suit the Dungeon, on Dungeon maps only.

When using the Basic Coordinates feature, always keep Dungeon coordinate support turned on.

 

④ Resurrection Settings

 

Lets you set how to resurrect when you die in combat.

You can set the resurrection wait time or the number of resurrections for consecutive deaths.
 

The first rule of hunting: don't die.

Dying while hunting means your specs aren't good enough yet.

Also, if you die in PvP, such as during Blood Storm, resurrecting immediately carries a high chance of dying again.

 

If possible, don't use auto resurrect, and check on your character often.

 

⑤ Meditate Settings

 

Sets how low HP, MP and AP must each drop before using Meditate, which restores them quickly.

 

You can't hunt while Meditating, so it wastes a lot of time.

No need to set up Meditate; use HP and MP recovery potions instead.

 

2) Focus on Effective Martial Arts (Middle Section)

 

 

① Auto Martial Arts

 

Sets the martial arts used automatically in combat.

The time below sets how many seconds pass between each automatic martial art use.

Using them as fast as possible is key, so it's set to 1 second.
 

As recommended in the previous martial arts guide, set only the 2 short-cooldown skills for hunting.

 

② Auto Recovery Martial Arts

 

When HP falls below the set rate in combat, the recovery martial art [Tai Chin] is used automatically.

Casting To Na eats into your hunting time.
 

Unless you want to level up To Na, it's best not to use it.

 

③ Auto Buff Martial Arts

 

Automatically uses support martial arts that give a temporary buff effect.
 

If you tick [Use whenever cooldown ends], it's recast as soon as the skill is ready, no matter how much buff time is left.

If you want to level up support martial arts like Zin Zong quickly, try turning it on.

However, your hunting speed will drop as well, so use it according to the situation.

 

If you tick [Use even when not Auto Hunting], it keeps being used even with Auto Hunt off.

Useful for leveling up buff martial arts.

 

Buff martial arts become noticeably more effective, helping you hunt longer, and more.

For defense-boosting martial arts like [Tia Bu], we recommend ticking them on.

 

Buff martial arts also cost hunting time while casting, so you can turn them off if you want maximum hunting efficiency.

 

3) Recovery Potions and Other Settings (Right Section)

 

 

The right section of Auto Hunt holds settings that apply even when you're not in combat.

Contains settings and conveniences for using various Consumables.

 

① Consumable Settings

 

When HP, MP or AP drops to the set rate, the assigned item is used.

We recommend using items that restore less while the rate is still high, and items that restore more when it's low.

 

② Other Settings
 

Of the options below, we recommend turning on only [Auto-use Buff Items] and [Auto-activate Wushuang Mode].
 

If [Auto-accept Party invites] is on, freeloaders may sometimes invite your Auto Hunting character into their Party to take a share of your EXP and items, so keep it off.
