1. Which Equipment Affects Combat Power the Most?

 

In Mohun, the basic way to feel your character grow is to Level Up, but what affects Combat Power even more is Equipment. Equipment is divided mainly into weapons, Armor and Accessories, and each type is worn in a different slot.

 

Most equipment can be worn from Level 1, but some pieces have a Level requirement: Bracelets and Earrings unlock from Level 86 and up.

※ Main stats are effects that always come with the equipment; sub stats are effects rolled at random depending on the equipment type.

Both offense and defense matter for Combat Power, but as the saying goes, the best defense is a good offense: offensive stats are slightly more effective for fast hunting.

 

So early on, you'll get ahead by preparing a higher-grade [Weapon] and [Bracer] with Attack options and investing in enhancing them. Once your weapon and Bracer are ready, look next for a [Ring] and [Belt] that add stats (focus on STR, which raises Attack).

 

If your Attack is already sufficient but you're using too many potions, or you face situations you can't survive even with potions, invest in equipment with Defense and Elemental Resistance.

2. To Bring Out Your Equipment's Full Power, Enhance It!

 

Equipment on its own can't perform beyond its grade. To draw out its true power you need to enhance it, and in general the higher the grade, the more worthwhile enhancing becomes.

 

There are 4 types of equipment enhancement in total. The enhancement level and status are shown in brief on the equipment icon.

 

 

1) Upgrade Level

An enhancement method that uses Ancient Stones or Scarlet Stones to boost the base performance of equipment. Upgrade Level can go up to +30, and up to +10 the level will not drop even on failure; beyond that, a failure may lower the level.

 

The more materials you add, the higher the success rate, and with enough materials you can guarantee 100% success. But that uses up a lot of materials, so it's safer to try your luck only at +10 and below, where there is no level-down penalty.

 

Early on, we recommend enhancing your weapon and Bracer first, since they affect Attack.

2) Gem Enhance

An enhancement method that uses 1 set (100 pcs) of Gems to add extra options to equipment.

 

Each Gem can be used on different equipment slots and gives different effects. Using Pure Gems gives you a chance at higher values. You can also train the [Equipment Gem Enhance] Special Skill to raise the maximum value range of Gem Enhance.

 

Early on, we recommend Gems that affect Attack, such as Inverse Stone, Amethyst Stone and Glad Stone. For defensive Gem Enhance, rather than Ruby, Blue Diamond or Opal, which raise only a single Elemental Resistance, Xuan Jade, which raises Defense, is more effective.

3) Intimacy Enhance

Using equipment for a long time builds up Intimacy and grants bonus stats. You can feed in equipment or Equipment Boxes of the same type as the item you are using (weapon, armor, accessory) to raise Intimacy faster. Be careful, though: if you trade equipment with raised Intimacy to another player, its Intimacy will be reset.

 

Unused equipment or Equipment Boxes of Rare grade or lower should be fed into your main gear for Intimacy Enhance. Weapons in particular gain Attack as their Intimacy rises, so invest in them first.

 

Intimacy can normally be raised up to Level 99, and with Intimacy Limit Break it can reach up to Level 120.

4) Blessing

Blessing is enhancing equipment with a [Blessing Stone], which can be bought from the Item Mall or obtained from events.

 

You can only bless equipment of the same grade as the Blessing Stone, so it must be used on a matching item. Since there are limited ways to get them, players usually use them on weapons first, as that gives the best Attack gain. If you have some to spare, blessing accessories that give stats is also a good choice.

3. Is Level Inherit Necessary?

 

Equipment with an Upgrade Level of +10 or higher can transfer its power to equipment of the same type and of equal or higher grade.

 

The upgrade level the receiving equipment gets depends on how many Ancient Stones were used to enhance the original equipment. Normally, inheriting the level into higher-grade equipment lowers it somewhat, but the original equipment's Gem Enhance, Blessing and Intimacy are carried over too, so you can cut down on duplicate enhancement costs to some extent.

 

However, Level Inherit costs a lot of Gold Coins depending on the upgrade level of the equipment being inherited, so don't do it carelessly. A cost-effective approach is to use the Heroic gear you get at the start with only low enhancement and move up to higher-grade gear later, or to inherit only the gear you invest heavily in early on, such as your [Weapon] and [Bracer]. If you're in one of the following situations, consider Level Inherit.

 

● The Gem Enhance or Blessing options rolled very well, or the Intimacy is too high to throw away
● The item already has a high Upgrade Level, so the materials to inherit it cost less than upgrading a new item again
● You want to move the Magic Stone Sockets of Immortal-grade equipment to a new piece of Immortal Equipment (requires a Magic Stone Slot Inheritance Tome)
