Using Pets

Pets are summoned companions that players take along with them.
When you activate a Pet, you receive the various unique Effects that each Pet has. The more a Pet grows, the stronger its Effects, and while a Pet is summoned you can use extra Inventory space. You can summon up to 3 Pets at once, but for Effects of the same type only the highest value applies.
1. Which Pet Is Best?
Each pet has its own unique effect, but pets that affect Combat Power, especially attack Stats, tend to be more popular.
Each Pet's Effects are as follows.

All Pet Effects are useful, but the Effects that work well in almost any situation are as follows.

1) No Aggro from Monsters
Lets you safely take on aggressive monsters one at a time while hunting in the field. Since field hunting usually means killing monsters one by one, it cuts potion use and the risk of sudden death. However, this effect does not apply in some situations, such as inside Dungeons or against minion attacks during a Boss fight.
Once they've grown to a certain level, some players deliberately remove this option to hunt more efficiently (by pulling monsters).
2) Increase All Stats
Raises your character's stats. Early on, while the pet hasn't grown much, you may not notice much effect, but as the pet grows, the stats you gain increase too.
3) Increase EXP/Martial Art EXP/Skill Point Gain
Increases the EXP, martial art EXP and Skill Points gained from combat. Of these, EXP may be unwelcome for players deliberately slowing their growth, and martial art EXP is useless once a martial art reaches 12 stars, so in general the Skill Point boost is the most widely useful.
4) Reduce Monster Defense/Elemental Resistance
An option that directly increases the damage monsters take. Because it lowers monsters' Defense and Elemental Resistance by a set ratio, you can fight more efficiently. However, this effect does not work on certain monsters, such as Field Bosses and World Bosses.
5) Chance of Items x2
When you defeat monsters, dropped items have a chance to increase 2 times. This is surprisingly useful when collecting rare materials that cannot be traded, but the drop rate of other junk items also rises, so your Inventory may fill up quickly.
2. How Should You Build Your Pet Team?
For Pet Effects of the same type, only the highest value applies. For example, even if you summon 3 Pets that each have All Stats +10, only one of them takes effect, giving you All Stats +10. So build your team so that each Pet's Stats don't overlap.
1) For Hunting
Prioritize the Item Gain x2 (chance-based) option, which raises drop rates, and combat-related Stats. Early on, use No Aggro to hunt safely, but you can drop this option later. Choose pets with as few PvP-related options as possible.

2) For PvP
Unlike hunting pets, PvP pets should focus on PvP combat and survival.

3. How Can You Raise Pets Easily?
Unlike Equipment Intimacy, pets have no way to raise Intimacy instantly. The only way to make them grow is to keep them with you consistently.
A Pet's Intimacy builds up steadily at set intervals while it is summoned. The Intimacy needed to grow is determined by its current stage, regardless of the Pet's Star Grade (Stage 1 grows fast, Stage 3 grows slowly). Equipping pet gear such as the Earring of Intimacy increases the Intimacy gained.
To help your pet grow steadily, please follow these points:
1) Try to keep your pet summoned at all times
When you log in/re-enter the game or resurrect after dying, your Pets are unsummoned. Pets build up Intimacy based on the time spent together, whether or not they fight, so keep them summoned at all times.
2) Be Careful Using Pets When Hunting in Dangerous Areas
Pets grow very slowly, and the death penalty means lost time, so it is vital that they don't die. When hunting in a hunting ground beyond your strength or in a channel that allows PK, consider unsummoning your pet first.
3) Set Up Auto Hunt Carefully
Once you have progressed to a certain point, you are more likely to die from leaving Auto Hunt running unattended than from being unable to handle the hunt. If you run Auto Hunt for a long time, bring enough potions and check your Auto Hunt settings carefully.
4) Make Good Use of the Soul Earring and Pet Cradle
The Soul Earring, an Item Mall product, prevents your pet's Intimacy from dropping on death for a set period. It is best used at the right moment while raising stage-3 pets, which grow slowly. You can buy it from the Item Mall shop, and it is sometimes handed out in events too, so it is worth stocking up even if you won't use it right away.
An indirect method is the Pet Cradle. The Pet Cradle costs a lot of Skill Points and gives less Intimacy than keeping the pet summoned, but it lets your pet grow without worrying about losing Intimacy.
