Martial Art

 

1. What Are Martial Arts?

 

Martial Arts are techniques for striking enemies harder and boosting your own stats. No matter how strong your character is, you can't fight effectively without using martial arts.

 

You can learn martial arts from Level 5. Using a Skill Book teaches you that martial art. Basic Skill Books are sold by the [Book Seller], but some Skill Books can only be learned through special means, such as crafting or monster drops.

 

 

 

 

2. Learning Martial Arts

 

From Level 5 you can use Skill Books to learn martial arts. Learned martial arts are registered in the Martial Arts/Special Skill window, opened with the [S] shortcut key. If your martial art slots are full, you can't learn any more, so you'll need to expand your slots or delete an existing martial art.

 

To delete a learned martial art, drag it outside the window. Deleting a martial art resets the EXP accumulated in it, and you'll need to use a Skill Book again to relearn it.

 

 

 

 

3. Using Martial Arts

 

You can use a martial art while equipped with the weapon it requires, by registering it on the shortcut bar or adding it to the martial art settings in the Auto Hunt settings.

 

 

 

 

4. Martial Art Training and Real Form

 

As you keep using a martial art, EXP builds up in it, and it can be trained up to 12 stars. Each time the martial art's stage goes up, it becomes more effective.

If you keep using a 12-star martial art, it has a chance to evolve into a [Real Form]. A Real Form martial art has [眞] in front of its name and is more powerful than a 12-star martial art.

 

 

The martial arts that can become Real Form are as follows.

 

● Sword: Chan Song, San Yen, Fu Gu, Lang Zi, Yue Mi, San Xian
● Fist: Yea Chao, Chon Shaw, Fen Zin, Choi Sin, Ru Fong
● Katana: Xuan Fong, Nu Pi, Wan Fo, Dong Fong, Wu Chu, Xue Mo Slash
● Spear: Do Se, Hen Sao, Wu Long, Chuan Yun, Fong Chi, Zong Pi Sting
● Bow: Po Tien, Bai Bu, Han Bing, Liu Sin, Wan Jian, Dan Hwan
● Dart: Man Tien, Tien Lo, Sin Jin, Chi Yue, Bai Ma, Do Long
● Fire: Da Mo, Hong Lien, Zi Xia, Huo Yan
● Water: Fong Dau, Xue Yan, Han Bing, Bing Xin Jue
● Lightning: Tien Lei, Fong Lei, Pi Li, Ming Lei Strike
● Wood: Tai Chin, Tai Chin
● Earth: Tia Bu, Tia Bu, Wu Xing

 

 

 

5. Transfiguration

 

Some martial arts at 12 stars or in Real Form can be enhanced with Transfiguration. A martial art enhanced with a [Transfiguration Secret Book] gains additional Effects.
