Death and Resurrection

1. Character Death

When your HP drops to 0 from a monster's or player's attack, your character dies. You can resurrect to keep playing, but from Level 5 onward you must accept a penalty.

2. Resurrection

A dead character can resurrect at their current location or at their saved location.

If you resurrect at your saved location, you revive at the gate you entered through or at your saved login point. If your character is Level 5 or higher, you lose 2% of your current Level's EXP as a penalty. Resurrecting at your current location saves you the run back to the hunting ground, but you lose 3% of your current Level's EXP as a penalty, more than when resurrecting at your saved location.

Death and Resurrection - 2. Resurrection

If you have a pet out, its Intimacy drops. Dying to a monster lowers Intimacy by 5%, and being PK'd lowers it by 3%.

2. Resurrecting After Being PK'd

While hunting in a PK channel, you may be attacked and killed by players with PK Mode on. If you die from being PK'd, on top of the EXP penalty you also suffer a debuff called [Weaken] for 1 hour.

While Weakened, you cannot enter a PK channel (if you are already in a PK channel, you can stay). In addition, EXP, Skill Points and item drop chance are reduced by 20% per stack. If someone with this effect is PK'd again, their Weaken stage rises by one and the duration resets. Weaken stacks up to 5 stages. If you are PK'd again while at Weaken stage 5, you are expelled from that hunting ground and resurrect in Chang An.

However, in situations such as Blood Storm or the Tower of Honor, you do not get [Weaken] even if you are PK'd, and in these PvP-enabled situations you also lose no EXP or Intimacy from dying. In addition, using a [Protection Scroll] lets you ignore the Weaken effect.
