1. Level 1–10 Overview
The early game starts entirely in the town of Lan Chow. Most Level 1 Quests have you carry messages from one NPC to another inside town. You can chain them in one go and get Hair gear, Skill Points, EXP, Buns and a Skill Book to use in the early stage.
From Level 5, Quests start sending you out of town to hunt monsters at Mountain Min Sa, Jade Gate and Crescent Lake, and from Level 8 there are repeatable Quests for earning Silver Coins while you hunt.
Starting point: When you first enter the game, talk to the NPC Xiang Xiang to receive a Letter of Introduction, then do the Quests in the order shown in the table below.

3. Tips for This Range
Finish all 6 Level 1 Quests before leaving Lan Chow. They can all be done in and around town (only 2 require hunting monsters around town), and together they give Skill Points 10,000, EXP 10,000, 10 Buns, 2,000 Silver Coins and the Zin Zong Skill Book to use right away. For Quests that require hunting outside town, group them by area so you don't have to run back and forth several times.
● Mountain Min Sa: Worry of Xu Shan Ren (Mummy) and Accessories Production (Giant Snail) are on the same map, so take both and hunt for them together.
● Jade Gate: Catch the Thieves (Chaos Army) and Claws of Tarantula can be done together.
● Crescent Lake: Move here at Level 10. Destroy Catapult Rascal gives 4,000 Silver Coins per run, the most of any repeatable Quest in this range.
The 3 repeatable Quests (2,500 / 3,000 / 4,000 Silver Coins) are good for saving up for books and equipment, but don't stay on them so long that your Level pulls too far ahead of the monsters: monsters 7 or more Levels below you give no EXP, Silver Coins or items (see the rules in Level). Once past Level 10, move on to the next range of Quests in Chang An.
